A registered Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate (PEPC) with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Malaysia (FIEM) with extensive Oil & Gas Industry experience that started since 1983. He is considered as one of the pioneers in the Malaysian Oil & Gas industry.

He started his career working on offshore production facilities and subsequently work with reputable multinational engineering services companies (that includes Brown & Root and Technip) based in Kuala Lumpur.

His work experience eventually migrated to downstream EPCC Projects when he joined Toyo Engineering & Construction Sdn Bhd (a subsidiary of Toyo Engineering Corporation of Japan) in year 2000. He held the position of Executive Director until 2017 and was one of the key driving forces for Toyo growth in Malaysia that led the group to securing the multibillion US dollars lump sum Steam Cracker Complex project in Pengerang.

He served as the President of the Malaysian Oil, Gas & Energy Engineering Council (MOGEC) for six terms (until mid-2025). His vision is for Malaysia to be an Engineering Hub and for local Malaysian Oil & Gas Engineering companies to become Global service providers.
